The settlement deformation of soil is hard to avoid in tunnel constructions usingTBM technology on the foreign and domestic practice and experiences. Consideringthe safety as well as the quality of the construction, it is necessary to make sure thedeformation is within a range of reasonableness. Among the major constructionfactors, the control of shield-tail grouting is the most important factor affecting thedeformation of soil. This paper studies the deformation of soil and tunnel liningscaused by the deviation of grouting pressure relative to normal level.FDM is an important method of the numerical analysis of geotechnique.Thisarticle simulates the occurrence of the grouting pressure deviation on differentconstruction areas, using the FDM software FLAC3D, in order to find thedeformation pattern of the soil as well as the linings, taking a construction section ofGuangzhou metro line3using TBM as reference. The result shows a regular pattern of the vertical deformation of the soil alongthe tunneling direction caused by the deviation of the grouting pressure and theincrease of the deviation range, based on the relative distance with the tunnel or theembedded depth of the soil. The astringency of the soil caused by a certain deviationof grouting pressure is effected by the position of the soil and the range of pressuredeviation. Accordingly, this paper proposes a dividing of the soils above the tunnelinto two different areas affected by the grouting pressure deviation-sensitive area tothe range of the grouting pressure deviation(SARD) and the non sensitivearea(NARD).
