In the cold northern rural areas, kang is the main heating facilities. The traditional single kang can not satisfy people's demand for indoor thermal environment, due to the low thermal efficiency of the kang and fuel consumption is big. Therefore, this article puts forward a new kind of heating system that is combined the phase change energy storage technology with capillary network type solar energy heating technology that applied on the kang. This system improved the indoor comfort, reduced energy consumption and improved indoor thermal environment that provided an effective way.In this paper, the structure and working principle of rural kangs in north China were studied and analyzed, and the evaluation index of kangs was detailedly described. The design scheme of solar heating system is determined through reference to the solar heating system design specifications. Using the solar heating has significant advantages and competitiveness in such aspects as technology, economy and environmental protection, which greatly improving the rural indoor thermal environment.Phase change materials are material of heat storage that make use of the properties of heat absorption and heat release in the phase change process. They have some merits, such as big heat storage density, small heat transfer temperature difference, and high heat exchange efficiency and so on. They can achieve the transfer of energy in time and spaces, and have played an important role in peak load shifting for buildings heating. This paper made corresponding introduction to the characteristics of phase-change heat transfer, phase change heat transfer mathematical modelling and solving methods of phase change heat transfer and so on. At the same time, the paper made in-depth research and analysisthe to the selection of phase change material, encapsulation of phase change materials and how to combine with kang body. This paper also puts forward a set of designing scheme that is suited to the kang of phase change heat storage in rural heating.Through on the basis of theoretical analysis, that is combined with reality. The paper has on experimental research to the kang of phase change energy storage type combined with the solar heating system of capillary network type. That had mainly carried on detailed described to the process of the construction of the test bench, the design of experimental scheme and testing of experiment. We worked out experimental conclusions through the contrastive analysis of the temperature distribution of the room and kang surface under different working conditions. Research showed that the heating effect that the kang of phase change materials combined with the solar system of capillary network type was the best, and the comfort of indoor and kang was the highest. The indoor average temperature of the system was 24.41?, which was higher 14.31? than normal room; The temperature fluctuation of kang surface was small, the temperature distribution of kang surface was more uniform and maximize temperature difference is only 3?; The temperature of kang surface declined slowly at night, which average temperature of kang surface is higher than ordinary kang. The thermal property, thermal storage property, heat dissipation property of the system is superior to the ordinary kang.Based on the experimental measured data, this paper made use of the FLUENT simulation software to simulate, analyzing the establishment of the model, the division of the grid and the setting of FLUENT calculation parameter in the simulation process, and compared the results of simulation and the results of experiment test. Study showed that the simulation result was consistent with the actually measured value. The results verified the feasibility of using FLUENT to simulate the indoor thermal environment. The paper provided a research method in order to improve the rural indoor thermal environment.Based on the experimental test data, this paper had carried on comprehensive assessment to the energy consumption situation, energy saving and economical efficiency and so on of the phase change energy storage type kang combined with the solar heating system of capillary network type. Research showed that the system can save energy of 14056.24 MJ a year, that can save 20539.86 yuan in its life cycle, and the cost can be returned in 3.05 years after put it into use. At the same time, the paper analysed the thermal property, the heat dissipation property of the kang and indoor thermal environment under four different working conditions. The paper roundly study the performance and heating effect of phase change energy storage kang combined with the solar heating system of capillary network type, which provided theoretical support for the development of the system in the countryside.
