Air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system is one of the more common water heating system. The system combines with the advantages of solar water heating system and air source heat pump system, in order to solve the problem that the solar system cannot supply the adequate hot water when the solar radiation is insufficient. The performance of air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system is decided by the heating capacity of the solar collector and the heating capacity of air source heat pump. On the premise of meet the demand of hot water, the economic benefit of this system is influenced by the area of the collectors and the capacity of the air source heat pump. The performance of this system is also different in different climate region. The paper studies the matching problem of the air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system by aiming at the university dormitory water consumption in different climate region.This paper analyses the university dormitory water heating system in Changsha, establishes the dynamic simulation model of the air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system and analyses this simulation model by actual operation. It also studies the all year operation of this system under design conditions, and analyses the performance parameters of this design scheme, such as quantity of heat, energy consumption, solar fraction, coefficient of performance. On the basis of the above analysis, this paper deeply analyses the different performance of the system with the different solar collector, capacity of air source heat pump and volume of heating water tank by using the orthogonal method. And this paper comprehensively considers the initial investment and the operation cost of the system. Finally it obtains the most optimal economic matching scheme of this system. By using the same research method, the paper also obtains the most optimal matching scheme of the hotel water heating system in Changsha and the dormitory water heating system in Guangzhou and Kunming.On the basis of the above research, the paper compares and analyzes the air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system with several traditional ways from energy saving benefit, economic benefit and conservation benefit. Analysis shows that this system has better energy saving benefit, economic benefit and conservation benefit. In a word, this system should be widely promoted and applied.
