In recent years, the application of the solar water heater becoming more and more popular, but the conventional solar water heater is easily affected by climate, couldn't ensure all weather long time movement. Air source heat pump unit, as a kind of high efficiency and energy saving device, its development and utilization has been paid more attention by people, but when the outdoor temperature drop, the efficiency and heating capacity of the heat pump will decrease, especially in cold winter, the outdoor temperature is below 0?,the unit will frosting. The paper put forward that combine the two systems, constitute the air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system, it can overcome the shortcomings and take full advantage of two systems.This paper, the mathematical model and simulation process of air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system is established, using concentrating parameters method. Use MATLAB language to develop the calculation procedure of tilt angle of solar collector, opening time of heating pump, solar water heater subsystem and heat pump system. The best matching of the collector area and tank volume, the best tilt angle of collector, the best opening time of the heat pump are studied. Based on the meteorological data in Wuhan, the water temperature, heating time, collecting efficiency, COP, heating capacity, etc. performance parameter of solar water heater subsystem and heat pump subsystem are simulated under for quarters, and summarized the change rule of these parameters with time, and also analyzed other influence factors of solar unit and heat pump unit.The simulation result show that the optimum tilt angle every month, and then conclude the best tilt angle is 20°of the year, and the best open time when the power consumption minimum each month, and compared the optimal operation model and normal model, the COP of the optimal model is tower above 15% of the normal model.Lastly, the paper carried on a contrast analysis of air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system with other traditional ways from the three aspects which were energy saving benefit, economic benefit and conversation benefit, the result shown that, in energy saving benefit, energy consumption of the system converted into the coal is 126.13 kgce, is the smallest among the systems. In economic benefit aspect, Dynamic annual value of the system is 0.2554 ten thousand yuan, also the smallest among the systems. In conversation benefit aspect, the amount of the energy conservation of the system is 2981.5kg, the biggest among the systems.Above all results indicated that on the condition of the climate features in Chongqing area,compared with other traditional heat source ways,air source heat pump assisted solar water heating system is the most economical ?friendly environmental manner with the lowest energy consumption, so it is suitable for popularization and application in this region.
