Steel mesh reinforcement method is a new type of steel fiber reinforced mortar strengthening reinforced concrete structure techn ology,mixed with a certain amount of steel fiber in the traditional cement mortar,steel fiber evenly distributed in the cement mortar,consuming the external energy commonly.Due to the characteristics of high tensile strength of steel fiber,the steel fiber reinforced mortar can restrict the development of the crack and improve the performance of anti-cracking.Through hair cutting,interface processingsuch as interfacingthe thin layer of steel fiber mortar,implanting shear pin,to ensure the reinforcement layer stick together with the original artifacts for improving the bearing capacity,ductility,durability of the beam.This new reinforcement method basicly don't increase the geometry size and weight of component.It is easy to promote and widely used.A few scholars at home and abroad have carried out a series of experiments and theory studies about the bending performance of the RC beams reinforced with the thin layer of steel fibre mortar,however studies about the shear performance of the strengthened RC beams are less, especially less study of the cantilever beams. So in this article, we conductthe shear failure tests of two comparative RC cantilever beams and two reinforced RC cantilever beams with steel f iber mortar.Based on results of the tests and analysis of different performances under the different shear span ratio of shear failure pattern,the cracking load, the ultimate load, the cracks, the deflection and the changing rules of strain.Experiment shows that this method can limit the producment and development of the cracks and improve the crack load,ductility, stiffness and the ultimate shear bearing capacity of the RC beam.On the basis of the experimental results, respectively by using plastic analys ing method and the model of truss- arch, put forward to the formulas of the ultimate shear bearing capacity of the RC beam strengthened with steel fiber reinforced mortar.Compared with this two analysing methods, the calculation results are different.The plastic analysing method is more consistent with the test results,it has a certain theoretical and practical significance.Use the finite element analysis software of ABAQUS to conduct nonlinear finite element analysis.By comparing the test results with re sults of the finite element analysis,it furtherly verifies the effectiveness of the steel fiber reinforced mortar steel mesh reinforcement method. It can provide some references for practical engineering.
