Strengthening concrete structures with near-surface mounted(NSM) fiber reinforced polymer FRP reinforcement is focused by the researcher, which compared with the traditional strengthening method. The advantages of the new NSM strengthening methods are high strength, easy to operate, corrosion resistance,.Currently the research on NSM technology in China is still developing, has not yet formed a complete theoretical model,it also requires in-depth study of the influence factors. In this paper,Conducted a three-point static loading test to 5 test beams with the factors of different bonds lengths and embedding mode,The failure modes crack pattem, stiffness and ultimate load carrying capacity is studied. The effect of bond length and embedding mode on the load carrying capacity is analyzed. Test results shows the failure mode of strengthening beams is debonding of FRP reinforcement. This paper established the FEM model of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with NSM FRP reinforcement by ABAQUS.The flexural behavior of beams is simulated. The deformation and load carrying capacity are in good agreement with the experimental results.
