Xiangxi in Hunan Province Expressway a lot construction in typical karst area, especially the Zhangjiajie section is belong to the bad engineering geological zones, the lots are large number of karst phenomenon and distribution along the extensive soft soil. The karst for major adverse geological characteristics of Xiangxi area highway roadbed by suited to local conditions, effective, time saving, labor saving and economic reasonable reinforcement treatment measures are urgently demanded by the Xiangxi area highway construction work. To solve this problem, this paper has done the following work:First, the existing research literature were finishing. Many scholars at home and abroad have carried out research and Discussion on the application of the highway construction and disaster prevention and PDCA management in the engineering project management for karst areas.. Including various karst foundation treatment method is described, karst distribution and development characteristics research, underground karst cave roof safety thickness calculation, governance assessment scope, grouting treatment measures, grouting slurry chemical mixture ratio analysis and PDCA method application.Second, the common karst subgrade diseases prevention and control measures, including caulking, across, dynamic compaction, perfusion, deep foundation and comprehensive treatment of types and characteristics were analyzed. According to the characteristics of karst in the west of Hunan Province, proposed the Karst Subgrade Reinforcement Treatment Measures- based on PDCA mode of root pile in situ underpinning reinforcement technology processing of karst roadbed.Third,the knowledge of PDCA circulation and its application in the technology of transportation construction industry are introduced. The PDCA concept and seven basic methods of QC are introduced in detail. For the transportation construction industry in karst roadbed treatment with PDCA management, combined with the characteristics of transportation construction industry, appropriate improvement of PDCA mode for application.Fourth, combined with Xiangxi in Hunan Province Expressway karst roadbed processing examples, using PDCA management mode of root pile in situ based on support for reinforcement method, and in implementation of PDCA process can be combined with quality management tools to strengthen the process control and management. The problem of karst subgrade is treated. Through the root pile in situ underpinning reinforcement compared before and after treatment, shows that the application of PDCA karst roadbed treatment technology based on the formation of root pile in situ support for technology can effectively solve the problem of the highway subgrade in karst area.
