Research Of Subjective Evaluation System Of Transmission Shift Performance Based On Biomechanics

With the implementation of the car to the countryside, the marketing of mini passenger car has been growing. Mini passenger cars are using the manual transmission mostly, so they need to shift frequently. Because of the frequent shift, driver's manual transmission requirements will be increased continuously. This phenomenon will directly determine their evaluation for the products which are equipped with the manual transmission. Transmission is an important part in auto transmission system. It has the irreplaceable status. Its operating performance brings a large extent affect to the vehicle handling and the driver's feeling. The manipulating feelings affect the user's experience directly.The quality of the transmission shift feeling not only affects the continuity of the pilot operation, it will also affect the emotional and mental pressure of the driver in the whole process driving, and it will react subjectively in the end. International well-known rating agencies, such as J.D POWER, regard the feeling of transmission customers as the important index to evaluate the new car's performance, operation, and design quality, the same to some world's major car manufacturers. This paper is focused on the Wu Ling mini passenger cars, mainly researching the issues such as unsmooth and retardant shift, unclear gear shift and unable shift reflected by mini car passengers, a series of evaluation index on the transmission shift indicators will be presented in this paper which is based on a combination of theoretical analysis and field research from the driver's subjective feeling. It presents that subjective feelings by the driver can be a possible factor to determine whether transmission has practicality and comfort. Therefore, during the process of the research, corresponding questionnaire has been designed. According to the results of in-depth interviews, test the questionnaire's feasibility. Do a large number of field surveys to get some data through the driver's subjective scoring, select evaluation index through analyzing the in-depth interviews and survey data. Then it will achieve the effective and reliable evaluation system about transmission shift performance finally, giving the weight to each index. It will analyze the relationship between consumers in the subjective evaluation on the difference of each index, each index of overall satisfaction contribution and engineering structure, analyze the causes of poor subjective evaluation, then choose the improvement direction and technical route.The final result, a subjective evaluation system, is relatively complete. According to this evaluation system, enterprises can describe the characteristics of the target market quantitatively at all stages of product development, through the benchmarking analysis, they can find the product improvement direction. This evaluation system can also be used as the basis of subjective judgment for consumers to evaluate transmission shift performance.
