With the acceleration of urbanization process, the city’s traffic congestion has become increasingly serious. Whereas, the urban rail transit vehicles are cleverly to circumvent the surface road by generally choosing to move fast without any obstacles on the underground tunnel or the track laying on the overhead bridge. Due to the space in vehicle are closed and it carries a huge numbers of passengers, the prevention of the vehicles fire is extremely important.This paper aims at such kind of situation, to design fire detection and alarm system in the urban rail vehicles. Through the macroscopic studying of the relevant system, the system builds fire detection and alarm network by introducing a combination of technologies, such as the industrial data communication network and industrial Ethernet, The function of each subsystem module has been detailed designed, using the database management method to classify, analysis and storage data. The system has obtained a certain effect in transmission efficiency, amount of data storage, data sharing, etc, to achieve the expectations. In this paper, the research work starts from the following several aspects in detail:First, part of the system design. Through a large number of literature, to understand the research results about fire detection and alarm network in the urban rail vehicles at home and abroad, and establish the overall idea and implementation scheme. The system adopts the modular design, the whole system is divided into three function modules, namely, detection network module, data transmission module, and software platform module. Each module is subdivided into many small function modules, is designed in turn and realized step by step.Second, part of the network selection. Combining with the industrial Ethernet network, data communications network and other technologies for the system to build the network architecture. Through the monitoring network, to realize the data acquisition and data transmission. As a site acquisition equipment, fire detector transfers the collected originals stability to the upper node device, which is according to the different categories(such as temperature, smoke, etc.).In this paper, the composition and connection of all levels of node devices are specifically designed and detailed, the transmission protocol and transmission mode are unified specified, to ensure the stable and efficient data transmission.Third, part of the software design. This part detailed designs the system database. Classified design and storage the user management, device management, monitoring information and other types of data table. Using Windows Server software as the system software, through the database and Visual Studio development platform, generating software management platform of the system. The management platform includes interfaces, such as, the users’ login, management of devices’ information, query of historical data, using javascript image generation technology to generate temperature detection line chart for query analysis of the vehicle. Finally, the method of the system automatically generating random numbers to simulation site collecting data is used to realize the real-time detection and fire alarm of vehicles’ state.
