Analysis Of Seismic Response And Seismic Performance Of Isolated Structures

The seismic isolation technology has been developed vigorously with increasingly happened earthquakes. However, there still exist various restrictions when applying research results to engineering practice. For base isolation structure, the displacement response is limited the overall performance. So it is necessary to calculate the response under the action of earthquake. The mid-story isolation technology has been put forward to resolve the limitation of isolation layer position. But the influence of different isolation layer setting position needs further study. It has great practical significance to study on the influence regularity that affected by different frequency spectrum. Thus, this paper focuses on the above issues and makes some analysis. The mainly contents are as follows:1. The paper studies the seismic performance with or without isolated equipment. To simplify the primary structure to multi-particle model and simulate resilience curve of isolation layer via Bonc-Wen model. Based on Newmark- quadrature method, paper establishes dynamic differential equation of integral structure and calculates this through MATLAB. Then, this paper gets seismic response results of the structure and evaluates its seismic reduction effect in the aspects of absolute acceleration, shear force and drift.2. By analysis of frequency spectrum on natural seismic wave and compose seismic wave based on MATLAB language program. The results of difference between natural and manual matching seismic waves shows the influence of seismic wave spectrum characteristics effect on isolation.3. Finally, the article carries on a comparative study of seismic response under the condition of different frequency spectrum characteristic between base isolation and inter-story isolation. Based on the calculation results, the article puts some proposals about the method of setting isolation layer.
