In modern society, as an important energy for human society, the electric power is closely related to people's normal production and life, and it is the key to maintaining urban life. Once the electric power is interrupted, it will not only cause serious impact to the social life, but also bring huge economic losses to the people, and even lead to social unrest, which in turn affect the development of the national economy and the whole society. Therefore, many countries are very concerned about the normal operation and security of the power system. Earthquake is an unexpected and devastating natural disaster, and it is one of the disaster that most likely to lead the power system suffering serious damage. The large number of domestic and international earthquake damage examples show that the damage caused by a strong earthquake on the power system is huge. In view of the present study on the seismic performance of electric equipment in China is relatively backward, and lightning arrester as the electric power system protection equipment,it is very important for the safe operation of power grid system this reality, the paper to xi'an high voltage electric porcelain production of 420 k V non-clearane metal oxide arrester device as the research object, on the prototype structure seismic simulation shaking table test and finite element analysis software ANSYS, to study the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance of this device.Using white noise frequency sweep test probe its natural frequency of vibration, this paper analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the equipment. Input EL Centro wave, wenchuan earthquake wave and artificial seismic wave, can inspire three to get the device key parts in the acceleration peak value were 0.1 g, 0.2 g, 0.3 g and 0.5 g of dynamic response. The test results show that the device key parts of the stress peak value in the range of allowable values specified, structure does not appear damage phenomenon, has a good aseismic capacity. Test equipment bracket at the top of the acceleration amplification coefficient measured by average of about 2.242, basic it is greater than China's code for seismic design of electric power facilities(GB50260-2013), the upper limit of regulation 1.2, but the average is less than the negative coefficient of 2.5 in the United States. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest to adjust specification values in our country, to give greater security reserve equipment. 420 k V no clearance is established by use of ANSYS software, three-dimensional finite element model of metal oxide arrester equipment, and has carried on the analysis of dynamic response. The relative error between the simulation results and experimental results basic control in 15% ~ 25%, and proves the rationality of the model and its calculation.Aiming at the equipment was carried out by test and theoretical analysis, some meaningful results are obtained. These findings to further understand lightning arrester and so on electrical equipment of electric power transmission characteristics of typical structure, seismic performance and has reference value for engineering applications.
