With the increasing living standards nowadays, people's requirements for residential plane and space is getting higher and higher. The ordinary shear wall structure has been strictly limiting building's space, which can not meet people's requirements of residential space. In that case, a new structure form springs up, which is called short-leg shear wall. At present, it seems that, considerable amounts of this system has been used in high-rise dwelling buildings. However, researches on this field are still at the age of growth and completion. Many domestic scholars have concentrated their attention on concrete short shear wall, instead of RAC short-leg shear wall. RAC can take construction waste for recycling to meet the social requirements of low carbon economy and energy saving and emission reduction, which will also be beneficial for the sustainable development of China's economy. This is also one of the effective methods to improve the urban environment and develop the circular economy. To study the recycled concrete T shaped short pier shear seismic performance, this paper has done the following work:(1)Analysis and research of differences in the index such as, the apparent density, the clay content, the water absorption rate and the saturated surface dry condition of the recycled aggregate and natural aggregate.(2)Manufacture 5 groups with 15 pieces of recycled concrete test blocks, by means of diametric compression test, this paper studies the splitting tensile strength of recycled concrete materials with different substitution rates.(3)On the basis of the juxtaposed analysis of the different substitution rates, manufacture 5 groups with 15 pieces of recycled concrete test blocks, the substitution rate will respectively be 0%, 50% and 100%. By means of experiments, this paper studies the cube compressive strength, axial compressive strength, modulus elasticity of the recycled concrete test blocks, analyzes the effects of mechanical properties of recycled concrete materials with different substitution rates, and also studies the concrete compression the stress-strain curves with different substitution rates, finally concluding the ascent equation of recycled concrete constitutive model with different substitution rates.(4)Four T-shape short pier shear test models with 1/2 ratio of reduced scale are used to carry out the quasi-static test under low cyclic loading. This paper has given further in-depth studies about the failure mode, hysteretic behavior, carrying capacity, ductility, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of the T-shaped short pier shear RAC. On the basis of the test,this paper also gives suggestion of the formula for calculating bearing capacity of T-shaped short leg shear wall and the restoring force model, which is in good agreement with the experimental results.(5)This paper takes the application of finite element analysis software ANSYS for the recycled concrete short leg shear wall finite element simulation analysis.By means of the constitutive model of recycled concrete compression in this paper, the failure pattern and the stress and strain were studied and compared with the test results. They are considered to be in good agreement, which means this model is reasonable.
