| Qinghai-Tibet DC transmission line goes through the continent inland, away from the ocean. The major area of plateau is the unique dry and cold climate. According to available statistical analysis information for Qinghai-Tibet transmission line from beginning of operation to November 2013, the proportion of bird hazard fault was 74.29%. Preliminary studies of multiphase environment along the transmission line have been carried out to a certain extent, but further research is needed in order to provide strong technical support for safe and reliable operation of Qinghai-Tibet ± 400 kV DC transmission line.Aiming to special operating environment of high-altitude transmission line and its impact on transmission operation, simulations and experiments for the high altitude air gap discharge and the impact to line running of guano flashover were studied in this project. The running environment of Qinghai-Tibet transmission line was analyzed, and typical air gap operation wave and lightning wave discharge characteristics tests at different altitudes was carried out, then, the influences of multiphase environment on rod-plane air gap electric field were analyzed. At the end, the formation mechanism of guano flashover and the influences of the various factors on the flashover occurring are analyzed. |
