With the development of economy and the improvement of people's living standards, the influence factors of traffic system contains more and more,which also makes us exploring the traffic optimization scheme become very difficult in the actual traffic environment. In the face of this problem, simulation of traffic system becomes a effective way with the computer technology. Through researching and inducing the data related to vehicle model from the actual traffic system, the happening of the vehicle model we establish the producing model of the vehicle and the behavior model of the vehicle etc in this article. At the same time, through the analysis of the traffic network elements in the actual traffic system. we set up the model for describing the traffic network that has good adaptability. we accomplish the simulation of the traffic operation process in the variable traffic environment with discrete events driving simulation process, considering the convenience and beauty of the display. At the same time, we record the data in the process of simulation, which will be analyzed. Eventually we are able to provide data and other reference for the optimization transportation plan.In the article, we firstly summarize the static model of the simulation system, which include the vehicle physics, traffic rules and network description model, etc. Through the abstraction and simplification of the actual vehicle, we set up the physical model of the vehicle, which can express the complex composition of vehicles in the actual traffic system. On the basis of the previous works, several kinds of common traffic rules are summarized and sampled. Then we establish the model of the elements of road network in the real traffic system. According to different geometric features, the elements are divided into several categories, which can be formed freely two-lane road network description file. At the same time, traffic control elements are added into the corresponding elements, When road network description file is edited or the properties of the elements are set, we can control and modify the characteristics of the traffic control elements, which is convenient to simulate under different traffic control environment.Secondly, the model Involved in the run of the simulation system are established, including the generation of vehicles, the vehicle behavior model and the Realization of the path algorithm. through refining the initial state of vehicles at the time of producing, we give the vehicles different random state, which achieve the performance closer to the elements in the actual traffic system. Among the behavior of the vehicles in fact, i choose three kinds of comparatively typical behavior to be analyzed, described and discussed, and simulated. In the end, we have Two kinds of route selection, a fixed path and the shortest path algorithm, the former has more high priority.Finally, the traffic simulation system is designed and implemented, including the map editor module and simulation module. In addition to the conventional functions to map network elements, i also design other operation for network elements including rotating, deleting, replacing and so on, so that we can complete the description of network in a more flexible way. I set up the corresponding function to control the simulation process in the simulation module. With the simulation system, several actual cases are simulated, which prove that the system can meet the simulation demand of common traffic system, can provide the corresponding data and form the conclusion to support the optimized and improved measures for actual traffic system.
