With environment protecting being the developmental tendency of aviation in the future, electric aircraft with clean energy becomes more and more popular. This paper chooses AD200 as the aircraft platform transforming it to an electric airplane. The general design is discussed and new flight performance is analyzed.Take the requirement of transforming AD200 to an electric one as the research object, this paper reconstructed its 3d shape according to multi-angle pictures reconstruction theory firstly, then introduced the method to mesh an unstructured grid on the aerodynamic shape, calculated and analyzed the aerodynamic characteristics of EAD200 using CFD. Researched the electric power system scheme design of EAD200, and mostly focused on the plane- matching design of power system: According to the primary parameters, parametric design is analyzed of electric power system components. The new quality characteristics, internal structure and the position of the center of gravity is discussed. At last, with electric propulsion system performance and the aerodynamic characteristics of EAD200 analyzed and flight performance further evaluated. Design requirements of EAD200 are met. Flight duration increases to some extent with the improvement of battery performance.Flight stabilization control law is covered with PID method after the establishment of kinetic equation. Feasibility of the control law is tested through simulation via MATLAB.
