In this paper, against industrial practical problems of low-speed heavy-duty equipment weak fault signal detection, method less and poor results. Combined the operating characteristics of low speed and heavy equipment with the basic principle on weak signal detection technology. With mini excavator slewing platform power arm slewing ring as the experimental research object. Proposed and design a low-speed heavy-duty equipment weak fault signal detection system, contains the hardware(signal conditioning modules, DSP module) and software(wavelet packet algorithm based on Matlab). And to by experiment data analysis to two fault types on slewing ring(gear surface wear and partial failure), contrast verify the correctness and superiority of the system.The main work of the subject includes the following:(1) Discussed low-speed heavy-duty equipment weak fault signal detection problems, and proposed the significance of research and development low-speed heavy-duty equipment weak fault signal detection system.(2) For mini excavator slewing platform, typical low-speed heavy equipment, conducted a comprehensive analysis of the work, select triaxial piezoelectric accelerometer sensor as an acceleration signal acquisition devices, and proposed signal detection feasibility scheme.(3) For two modules of detection system conducted designed in detail: DSP-based hardware design( used to signal acquisition), wavelet packet Implementation algorithms(used to signal analysis).(4) Make experiment to prove, the system of this article designed have correctness and superiority.(5) For the research content make a summary, and proposed the problems, solutions, trends and directions for improvement.
