Thermal power stations consume about 50% of the total amount of coal in china, and the heat loss in exhaust gas from stations is one of the most important heat loss in boiler. The factor that effects on the heat loss in exhaust gas is exhaust gas temperature. The waste of exhaust gas caused by the high temperature, It is a common phenomenon in our country. The use of heat from exhaust gas in boiler is the effective way to save energy, reduce energy consumption and pollutions.This paper introduces the basic thoughts of design which use a concrete example to describe the whole process of design. Firstly, analyzing the characteristics of different economizers on the basis of relative papers, next select H-type scales economizer according to the project design, then calculating to get the statistics of combustion in detail.On this basis, the design of economizer structure, decided to choose pipe diameter and thickness, then selected the fin length, thickness and height. And at the same time the selected the number of transverse and longitudinal pitch as well as the horizontal and vertical tube row number. Doing the thermodynamic calculation, and to adjust tube row number to determine the detailed structure of economizer. According to the principle of heat balance, calculating the temperature of export water. Considering the corrosion problem, discussing the influence factors of acid dew point and several methods are discussed, and the acid dew point was calculated. At the end of the paper also made a technical and economic analysis of design.The low-temperature economizer designed in this paper is so efficient and economical that it can save much energy. And this project design offer guidance and direction to other low-temperature economizer in companies.
