The purpose of this research for increasing the thermodynamic efficiency and waste heat recovery.Low-Pressure Economizer(LPE)have been considered to study for coal fired power plant.In this research,a 150 MW unit of CIIDG Erdos Hongjun Electric Power Co.,Ltd,a coal-fired power plant in Sihanouk village,Cambodia was chosen a case study with the installation of LPE in the flue gas before the FGD(flue gas desulfurizer),the heat contained in the exhaust flue gas can be recovered effectively and the water consumption can be reduced in the FGD resulted from the temperature dropped flue gas.The parameters of LPE are presented and calculated step by step.As the results of simulation are presented to assess the potential for efficiency increase by using the LPE.The temperature of flue gas decreased from 144℃ to 90℃ that it is the heat loss.The load operation from 100%to 40%are analyzed to trace the added thermal and coal consumptions.It is deduced the coal consumption rate around from 4 to 8 g/kWh and the power output is increased from 0.44 to 2.48 MW.
