With the development of science and technology, the mining transportation, metallurgy, construction, petroleum chemical industry, refrigeration, power, electric power, aerospace and other industries are required to two-way ventilation, so the reversible fan demand also greatly improve. For example, in the underground tunnel, tunnel, mining and other industries, with larger positive and reverse air volume, fast response and high temperature resistant type reversible fan are favored, but the disadvantage is that the impeller fan inversion of the realization of reverse ventilation performance is far less than the positive wind performance, so in order to improve the anti wind performance of the fan, the design and the selection of the airfoil is very important.For these industries encountered problem that reverse ventilation performance of fan is far less than the positive wind performance, this paper chooses symmetric aerofoil impeller as the main object of study, through the use of CFD software Fluent carries out to three-dimensional numerical simulation. The results that validate selected symmetric aerofoil impeller could meet the requirements of anti wind performance, reduce the fan invalid power and improve the ventilator efficiency.Based on symmetrical airfoil possesses these advantages,in order to achieve the positive and negative performance reversible axial fans are better. For the further designing and optimization of it, design the several kinds of asymmetric double machine carefully. The symmetrical airfoil was zoomed in proportion, which had been connected to the tail of the symmetrical airfoil in turns. After smoothing disposed, new airfoils were formed. Studying and comparing with internal flow phenomena, properties of fans, which use the asymmetric double wing airfoil to design, not only obtained that the asymmetric double wing airfoil with optimal chord length in reverse connection had been designed, but also obtained that the fan impeller directly the positive and negative conclusions good ventilation performance.
