Dalian is located near the sea, the port is an important characteristic of the city. The power of large machines on harbor depends on high-voltage motors. Motors’operation determines the efficiency of the port, so the power system of motors is particularly important. When there is power scheduling process in different areas of the harbor, the distribution of electric energy is extremely uneven, power supply to the system needs a short time using and high demand for flexibility. The paper studies a method using a test car to build a temporary power supply system, it will connect the power grid and electrical equipment.This paper is based on actual requirements of the enterprise, analyzes the particularity of large mechanical’s power on harbor, making the solution that using the existing test car to build temporary high-voltage power supply system. This scheme is of flexibly, ease of maintenance and low cost. According to the planning of design flow of electricity main wiring, the paper determines the main wiring scheme, while according to the capacity of load estimates the capacity of the transformer. The paper also determines the number and capacity of the transformer considering a variety of margin. Meanwhile, in the main wiring scheme, this paper elaborates theory of various high-voltage switch equipments’selection and decides the selection, and conducts verification with the relevant national standard.The enterprise offered several cables as the transmission medium, the paper analyzes the different cable types, and determines the cable model that different test car uses. To guarantee sufficient capacity supplied, the cables’ capacity and capacity of theoretical calculations are compared. Meanwhile, in order to solve the problem of cable laying, the paper analyzes several method of cable laying, choose the most beneficial site implementation: bridge-lay.After the completion of main design, flow capacity, operating time and other parameters of various protection devices are calculated. Respectively, the transformer protection and the line protection are also calculated, and the results can be applied to a variety of protection devices selection.Finally, there are performance tests of temporary high voltage power system after the line completed, the results show the temporary power supply system’s reliability is perfect.
