In the new century,high-tech brings us much convenience in our life,bringing a series of problems to our health,such as chronic diseases and incurable diseases.With the medical model changing from simple bio-medical model to medical-social-behavioral psychology model,the people have new comprehending to the concept of health.The traditional Chinese medicine as china's traditional culture heritage has its unique advantages in curing chronic diseases and complicated cases.The health concept of the traditional Chinese medicine such as prevention first before falling ill and treatment of dialectic have the same view with the health concept of new era by chance.It is on this background that writer launched the research on hospital of traditional Chinese medicine mainly researching some departments with TCM characteristic such as acupuncture,massage,traditional medicine diagnosis and treatment center,elixir.The research mainly contains the aspect of department room list,functional processes and process design.The paper compares the development history,culture,construction standard and relationship between functional areas between the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine and the general hospital,finding some differences of them and digging up the so-called connotation.On the basis of analyzing five hospitals,one general hospital,tow design cases and combining with some cross subject,such as environmental behavior psychology,the paper does some theoretical study on the relationship between medical behavior,medical needs and space scales.In order to writing,the writer researches five hospitals tow of which are in Beijing and three of are in Zhengzhou.By researching,the writer collects a large number of basic data of the hospital.In the end,the paper puts forward the concept of setting up design database of the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.By comparing the department room list,functional processes and process design of Characteristics of the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in five hospitals and combining with the improvement advice of medical staff,patients and experts,the paper deduces a relatively reasonable space design research of the main space of the hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.
