Quality Analysis And Control Of The Body-in-white Door Assembly

Manufacturing quality of body in white(BIW) is the carrier of automotive appearance quality, affecting the appearance and overall performance of the vehicle directly. Thereby BIW can affect customer satisfaction and the brand image of vehicle. The key for the development of independent brand vehicle is to improve the manufacturing quality of BIW.From the perspective of process quality control,following the "data-driven quality" concept, analysis and control of BIW assembly quality is carried out in this paper. Much work to be done to study door assembly quality, aims at to upgrade the overall appearance and intrinsic quality of BIW. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. According to the manufacturing process of BIW and the related knowledge, the reason of BIW manufacturing deviations is analyzed, the main contradiction is found, and the corresponding measures is adopted. As a result, the welding deviations of BIW is effectively controlled, which provides important guarantee for BIW manufacturing quality.2. Process monitoring of auto-body assembly inextricably linked with the detection technology and detection method, and the key is to determine measuring points and functional dimension. On the basis of reasonable measuring points, scientific evaluation methods of BIW manufacturing quality is provided in this paper, which can lay the foundation for BIW manufacturing quality monitoring.3. Quality problems of BIW door assembly is studied from the perspective of process quality control. With SPC theory and Minitab software, the process is monitored and controlled. By using CSW, quality problem is decomposed, and then formulate strategies and measures to improved manufacturing process through PDCA cycles.After continuous efforts and long-term practice, research results of this paper have been successfully applied in actual production and achieved remarkable effect. Assurance of BIW manufacturing quality will improve the company's brand image and brand competitiveness, and provides important reference for enterprises to implement total quality management.
