Because of its advantages such as light weight, high energy, long life and so on, Li ion battery has been developing rapidly in the field of aviation. In the use of aviation lithium battery, because the battery is not fully maintained, maintenance process is not reasonable and the performance examination of the battery is not correct, that make the battery perform partial of its ability, thus the ground of the battery maintenance has become a n important guarantee of its application. At present, there aren’t many kinds of maintenance equipments for aviation battery in the domestic, and maintenance equipments are mostly battery manufacturers to provide, so the function of the equipments are diff er, detection ability are uneven.Common battery maintenance requirements include battery capacity supplement, battery storage status adjustment and battery performance inspection, at the same time, the maintenance of the battery needs to be recorded in o rder to manage the use of the battery. According to the requirements above, this paper designs a aviation lithium-on ground maintenance system which integrated battery capacity maintenance, performance tests and battery management, and both to automated battery ground maintenance function, and the performance of the battery can be tested by setting parameters, which can provide support for the research of battery performance. Ground maintenance system designed in this paper is divided into two parts, the detection and protection unit and PC system. The detection and protection unit is embedded unit which used to sampling the total battery voltage, cell voltage, charge and discharge current, battery temperature, and to protect batteries by shut off circuit wh en situation like over charge, over discharge, over current, over temperature happens. PC software is the core of maintain control. On the one hand, it realizes the battery maintenance process control, to supplement battery capacity, to adjustment state, t o control scrap processing, to inspect battery capacity and monitoring module function, to prevent equipments from fault and ensure the battery in the process of maintaining security. On the other hand, the software provides a good human-computer interaction interface, provide battery maintenance parameter modifications so different parameters of batteries can be maintained, and record the maintenance information of the battery.On the basis of the above requirements to meet, the production of the ground maintenance system is completed. At last, through test the sampling ability and maintenance function of the system, this paper proved that the maintenance system’s sampling capability can meet the technical specifications, and is able to accurately calculate the capacity of battery during maintenance process, provides a reliable research platform and data support for the performance testing and analyzing.
