In this thesis, preparation and electrochemical behavior of new composite material composed of activated carbon which exhibited double-layer capacitance and Dawson-type polyoxometalates which exhibited faradaic capacitance were described here.We present an easy sonication approach for incorporation of (NH4)6[P2Mo18O62]·14.2H2O and activated carbon to prepare the composite material P2Mo18/AC.The composite material prepared was characterized by FTIR?XRD and SEM. The data revealed that(NH4)6[P2Mo18O62]·14.2H2O was effectively immobilized on activated carbon. The electrochemical behavior was also tested by cyclicvoltammetric, galvanostatic charging-discharging, AC impedance spectroscopic and cycling stabilitymeasurements. The investigations indicated that this work represents a promising strategy in designing supercapacitor electrode material in future. |
