The double-base explosive is a spiral weapon launching propellant, and the coated end surface of propellant can improve its resistance of combustion. The traditional way of propellant's end surface coating is artificial means. It can lead to the increase of the staff's labor intensity and human factors will result in the production of varying quality. There are many explosive materials in the coating production room and the room is full of dust. If there is an ignition source, it can ignite the propellant and cause industrial accidents. And if the explosion occurs, it can cause accidents since excessive production staff will cannot escape in time. To solve this problem, the author proposes automatic propellant coating on the basis of improved adhesive. Automatic propellant coating can be achieved by the formulation of appropriate automatic coating project, and the design of the corresponding explosion-proof coating equipment. In this way, the number of online production personnel can be reduced but the production safety can be improved.Propellant coating process is in fact the splicing process of flame retardants. This thesis first analyses the feasibility of the achievement of automatic propellant coating according to the plant conditions and the splicing process, and formulates the automatic propellant coating procedures and project. Next, we design the corresponding multi-station cladding apparatus according to the project that has already been determined, which includes the design of mechanical mechanism device, power sources and control system. In the mechanical design process, we designed propellant end surface gluing device, retardant sheet gumming device, flame retardant sheet bonding apparatus and a multi-position-type propellant delivery device according to the two key issues of glue combination and flame retardant lamination. The multi-station cladding apparatus is pneumatic drive. And according to the movement requirements of mechanical device. We apply the pneumatic components and the loop of pneumatic systems. In the design of electrical control system, we determine the controller, the control mode, port assignments and control procedures. Finally, we debug the multi-station covering apparatus, solve the problem of conveying cylinder occasional jitter, and test the quality of coated propellant. In addition, we analyze the appropriate protective measures that have been taken in both electrical and non-electrical aspects of the multi-station cladding apparatus based on the environmental factors in order to ensure the safety of automatical coating.
