Range-extended electric vehicle is one of the most popular forms of electric vehicles, as an important solution for new energy vehicles, has been developing rapidly and is nearly a hot phase of the study. We use the Cruise software making a range-extended electric vehicle model, in order to achieve the combination of the pure electric operation mode and the range-extended electric mode.The article introduces the the principle of work of range-extended electric vehicles, the system structure and patterns, characteristics and advantages, as well as the key technology of electric vehicles problems. At the same time, you can learn more advantages and good prospects for development of range-extended electric vehicles.The range-extended electric vehicle driving system structure model and its control strategy is introduced in the paper. Through the introduction of the range-extended electric vehicle structural design of electric vehicle powertrain and basic requirements for the structural design of powertrain, we could pave the way for the theory of power system designing.Through the analysis of the range-extended electric car transmission system,model and control strategy, we make the theoretical groundwork for the matching of powertrain parameters.We analyse the operation of the range-extended electric car dynamic equation, as well as the derivation to calculate the corresponding parameters to match the parameters of the main components of the power system.Through the Cruise simulation platform, we build a range-extended electric vehicle simulation model, which combined with the matching parameters for each component module parameter setting. By the final simulation waveform diagram of the relevant calculation and analysis, we draw the appropriate conclusions.Results of range-extended electric vehicle simulations based on Cruise modeling software meet the performance requirements of the vehicle. According to the selected driving cycle, the dynamic performance of the vehicle achieves the desired goal.
