The Exploration In Modern Interior Design By Applying Chinese Traditional Elements

Along with the time development, as modern interior designed view, is no longer simply to meet physiological needs, but more the pursuit of psychological needs, in the environment where is focusing on mental identity. Chinese traditional elements hidden civilization of five thousand years of Chinese traditional cultural connotation, the use of traditional elements into the contemporary interior design, not only can the Chinese nation traditional culture inherited the broad and profound, and the traditional spirit and the modern function combination, to create design works with Chinese nationality characteristics of modern interior. This paper first on the composition of traditional Chinese culture to explore summarized Chinese Traditional Aesthetics design guidance. After analyzing the form and meaning of traditional Chinese elements, sorting with color, shape, material, structure, decoration, then analyzed some cases of modern interior which traditional elements were used in it, exploring its integration and carry forward. According to the used of traditional design elements as reproduction, modifications, combinations, simplify and exploring the transmission of cultural meaning, there innovation modules were find in modern interior design: Form follows, Character select, Decomposition and Restructuring, Texture replacement. This thesis tries to explore the source of traditional decorative elements, interior design combined with modern methods of its development, and to explore creative techniques and innovative design patterns, so that people in the contemporary interior design by using traditional element to get spiritual pleasure emotion.
