Nowadays, with the development of sustainable society, green building has become the new trend in construction industry. However, the assessment of green building is popular for only ten years in China. So combining with our national condition, how to evaluate the green degree of buildings has become the most important issue of Chinese architecture. In this paper, studies are carried out in material-saving and energy-saving of green building.In this paper, systems of the assessment of green building at home and abroad are summarized about evaluation methods and characteristics. Then, life cycle assessment method which is a quantitative evaluation method of green building is studied. All of those studies can give reference to the research approach of the assessment of green building. At last, Green Buildings in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City are investigated and studied.In Chapter 2, the study is based on the standard ?Index system for assessment of material-saving in construction industry?(GB/T). First of all, the characteristics of evaluation is introduced. Then combining with five engineering examples, the correctness of the clauses is demonstrated and some recommendations are given. Finally, the reasonable weight of the clauses is calculated by the mean of the comprehensive weight which combines the subjective weight and the objective weight.To judge the truth of the scores of structure system in the material-saving standard, the quantitative evaluation method which combines the concept of life cycle assessment is used. In this paper, trial design which includes steel structure?concrete structure and composite structure is applied and environmental loadings of those structure systems in material are calculated. Then, resource consumption ? energy consumption and co emission are comprehensively calculated and comparatively analyzed by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to give choices to engineering type selection.To study the difference of energy-saving on construction thermal bridge which is brought by different bearing structural systems, many researches are made in this paper. First, the thermal bridge of the external wall corner model of special shaped column composed of concrete filled square steel tubes(SCFST) system is analyzed by ANSYS finite element software. Then, considering each thermal bridge, the difference of SCFST system and concrete-filled rectangular steel tube system on energy consumption is comparative analyzed. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that SCFST system performs well on energy-saving.In this paper, by regarding material-saving and energy-saving as starting point?combining with engineering example ? using MIDAS and ANSYS finite element software and many theoretical analysis methods such as comprehensive weight and AHP, researches are carried out to give reference to the assessment of green building and engineering type selection.
