With the continuous development of China's automobile industry and the acceleration of the process of industrialization as well as urbanization, highway vehicle load produced a significant variation. As the overloading of vehicles increasing, it's seriously affecting the safety performance in existing bridges. Since 1954, our country experienced multiple specification modification which the design load increased, but our country region is vast and transport situation in each area is different. So the load effect of vehicle in some areas exceeds the standard design value when the bridge was built. How to reasonably predict the development of vehicle load and vehicle load effect has become urgent need to solve the problem for highway maintenance department. In this paper, based on the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway of the measured data, using the related theory put forward the correction method. It provides meaningful reference for the study of the vehicle load of highway bridges in China. The specific research work includes the following three aspects:First of all, according to the vehicle load data which collected by dynamic weighing system from Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway(Guangshao section), using the method of mathematical statistics to analyze the statistics characteristics of vehicle weight and axle load value. Compared with the limit load in our country's policy of count weight and charge, the applicability of the current policy is reflected.Secondly, the Matlab mathematical analysis software is used to write the vehicle flow sequence program and the influence line loading program, and calculatie the load effect of vehicle flow in different span virtual simple supported beam. The result is compared with the standard load effect value of "General Specifications for Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts"(D60-2003 JTG) as well as "General Specifications for Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts"(D60-2015 JTG), it received some valuable conclusions. Finally, by using kurtosis method and maximum likelihood method to construct the vehicle load effect probability distribution model which based on POT theory. According to equal exceeding probability predict different reference period's vehicle load effect maximum. The lane load and concentrated load combination loading schema unchanged like in "General Specifications for Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts"(D60-2015 JTG), it put forward two modified design load method...
