Based on wind resistance problems of the high-rise structure,put forward the wind resistance scheme with using wind-limited-damper and isolation bearing, discusses the design method of the wind-limited-damper, engineering application,the safety of the structure under adverse load and its effect on the structure, the main research contents and achievements include:(1) Fully introduce basic constitution of wind-limited-damper, action mechanism and development process, introduced the reason why wind-limited-damper is presented in this paper, according to the code and itself feature, put forward the design method of wind-limited-damper with design flow chart, and gives wind-limiteddamper simulation method in finite element analysis software ETABS.(2) Take a 29 layer frame- shear wall structure as an example, put forward three different isolation design: Scheme 1, the traditional isolated structure design; Scheme 2, the traditional isolated structure with the traditional device of wind resistance; Scheme 3, the traditional isolated structure with wind-limited-damper. Combined with the dynamic time history analysis of three kinds of schemes by finite element analysis software ETABS program, analysis shows that scheme 1 can't meet the requirements of wind resistance and seismic at the same time; Scheme 2 can meet the demand of wind resistance and seismic, but the level of the isolation bearings deformation under the earthquake exceeded the isolation bearing design standard, it may lead to the structure destroyed due to the instability of the isolation layer; Scheme 3 not only can meet the demand of wind resistance, and has good damping effect and can better control the horizontal deformation of isolation layer under the seismic action, it can really balance the needs of wind resistance and seismic at the same time.(3)Due to scheme 3 can balance the needs of wind resistance and seismic at the same time, further research on wind-limited-damper will be done, Discussed the influence of different specifications and parameters of wind-limited-damper to the isolated structure. Analysis shows that increase the quantity of wind-limited-damper, damping coefficient and velocity index could effectively reduce story shear and overturning moment of the isolation layer, so that it can effectively control the deformation of isolation layer level, which increase velocity index has the most significant effect, with increasing the quantity of wind-limited-damper, damping coefficient and velocity index, overturning moment will be decrease and story shear will be increase first and then decrease with the floor, so we should choice the appropriate quantity, damping coefficient and velocity index of wind-limited-damper, to maintain structural shear weight ratio meets requirements while controlling of displacement of isolation layer.(4)Comparative damping effect, structure deformation, energy input and dissipation of isolation system with wind-limited- damper and traditional isolation system under near-field pulse-like ground motions. Analysis showed that isolation system with wind-limited- damper can improve damping effect, and its limit effect of isolation layer is better than traditional isolation system under near-field pulse-like ground motions, and with wind-limited-damper the structure can improve structural damping, thus input energy will be reduced, while wind-limited- damper can share required energy dissipation of isolation bearings.
