Among all different kinds of natural disasters,earthquake is undoubtedly the most catastrophic one to human property and life safety.Earthquake can bring about tremendous loss within an ultrashort time due to its abruptness,destructiveness and maldistribution.China is located in two major seismic belts:Eurasian seismic belt and circum-Pacific seismic belt.Therefore,earthquakes took place in this country frequently since ancient times.Currently, more and more attention is paid on seismic isolation technique in the field of structure seismic.The emergence of seismic isolation technique haven't been through a long time. Its development lasted only for around twenty years. Differetiated from traditional anti-seismic which resists earthquake with its intensity and tenacity.Isolation technique is a specialized device to assimilate and dredge seismic force.To be specific,it utilizes seismic isolation to separate the impact of seismic force, then lengthen the period of vibration by displacing gently to alleviate the destruction of earthquake.At present, due to long-term natural vibration period and enough attention,high-rise and super high-rise buildings are not easy to be destroyed. In contrast, most middle and low rise buildings suffer enormous destruction which also cause disastrous casualties because of limited rigidity and short-term natural vibration period. Therefore, it is of significance to seek out inexpensive,specialized,simple but reliable seismic isolation and cushion technique to guarantee the security of the public and avoid massive loss.Based on the above reasons,the writer puts forward a practical,valuable and reliable technique—the steel damper composite isolation layer.The steel-damper composite isolation layer is used for base isolation which combines with steel isolation pier and a new pattern of friction damper.Two inventions are involved in the technique:steel isolation pier and new-type steel friction damper.To begin with, the research group pieced a two-layer steel frame model to simulate real buildings.At the bottom of the model,the research group links the steel-damper composite isolation layer and the vibration table with bolts to simulate seismic experiments.Type 941B vibration pickups are installed on the vibration table,the composite isolation layer and the steel frame during the experiments.By collecting the vibration wave of each layer and then analyzing the data under variable operating conditions,the research group captures seismic factors of the steel-damper composite isolation layer.The experiment results show that the steel-damper composite isolation layer has favorable seismic isolation aseismic performance which provides beneficial basis for the further practical engineering of the technique.
