| In the field of mechanism, the kinematics and dynamics problems had been solved faultlessly for the mechanisms with determined connection between the components and fixed dimensions. However, the study of dimension classification method on mechanisms with size uncertainty were few, it was still difficult to know the global structure of the working space and singular position,people also didn’t know the evolution law of global structure with size changed.Based on this, a kind of spatial mechanism to achieve the intersecting line between two basic rotary surfaces had been presented, and the dimension classification method of this kind of mechanism had been explored by using modern mathematical theory. This paper mainly made a study of two aspects:Firstly, a kind of spatial mechanism to achieve the intersecting line between two basic rotary surfaces had been presented. The basic rotary surface included sphere, cylinder, cone and torus. The composing of this kind of mechanism and the transformation between each other had been analyzed and all types of this spatial mechanism had been listed. Also the transmission characteristics and some questions in practice about this kind of spatial mechanism had been discussed. This kind of mechanism can realized the trajectory of intersecting line,and can also be used in transmit and transition of spatial motion.Secondly, based on singularity of position constraint equation and division of structure parameter space, the dimension classification method of intersecting line mechanisms had been researched. The dimension classification inequation was derived from singularity of position constraint equation; then the structure parameter space was set up by the structure parameter; and this structure parameter space was divided by the dimension classification inequation we got before. The division method and process of structure parameter space were studied. At last, the relationship between the divisions which divided form structure parameter space and the type of the mechanisms and the topological structure of the solution space was discussed.In this paper, the dimension classification method of the intersecting line mechanisms was analyzed by using the modern mathematical theory, all the conclusions were derived from the position constraint equation, this methodreflect the features of the mechanism. The global structure of mechanism characteristics and its evolution law were showed by the division results of structure parameter space and the topological structure of the solution space. |
