| The calculating method on the ultimate flexural load carrying capacity of the beams strengthened with NSM FRP plate is presented.The load-steel strain,load-concrete strain,load-FRP strain,load-deflection and ultimate flexural load carrying capacity is studied in four beam tests with different bond length.The test value ultimate flexural load carrying capacity is compared with calculation value.The yield load of strengthening beam increase 33%~100% compared with control beam.The ultimate flexural load carrying capacity increase 33%~122% compared with control beam.The ultimate flexural load carrying capacity is almost same between the beams with bond length 1000 mm and 1200 mm.The steel strain,concrete strain,deflection,bond-slip are studied and the major effecting parameter is discussed.The debonding and failure mechanism is presented based on the bond-slip model. |
