Pavement performance of steel box beam would affect the running of a car and the safety of a bridge.Blind spot exists in decking techniques of orthotropic deck box girder of suspension bridge in China or abroad,especially in the organization of construction of bridge deck pavement.Mechanical behavior of steel box beam deck is closely and inseparably related to the nature of deck,steel box beam and the bridge.However,researches on steel box girder deck of Long-span bridges are mostly set up in static analysis area,when compared with dynamic response.Therefore,mechanics analysis of suspension bridge deck pavement structures undertaken with theoretical and numerical methods in combined with the actual development of decking.First of all,formation,structure and mechanical properties,mechanical index,study of current conditions of steel box girder deck are stated in detail.Secondly,based on the finite element analysis to the truss bridge structure of suspension bridge,several construction sequences are prepared,in which variations of stress and deformation of primary beam are get.General laws are concluded by figuring out the influence the new pavement had on the decked one.Thus,reasonable construction sequence is set up.Thirdly,shell mode of girder deck is built to replace its corresponding sections on the main girder.A plan has been drawn out when following with previous results about the relationship between construction sequences and stress,who reveals the mechanical properties and mechanical index of the layer under different situations,and then assessments of structure properties are given to different sequences.A simplified computational modeling counts for the sake of improving the computational efficiency further.Further more,mechanical properties of the layer and how the material influences its structure can be figured out with local box girder models.Finally,static analysis is discussed and matched with dynamic response,whom moving dynamic vehicle load,structure and material properties and various load cycle may have a great influence.Conclusions and achievements in the essay could be a reference when studying steel box girder deck and its design,construction and monitoring.
