Continuous box girder bridge with single column pier has some obvious advantages in the current social traffic use category.social traffic usage,For example,such kind of bridge occupies relatively small space utilization,also conform to the requirements of modern aesthetic,it has been more widely used in today’s municipal roads and bridges and highway bridge in exchange.But as municipal road bridges and high-speed road interchange bridges often built in continuous curved bridge forms,and this kind of bridge often use single pivot support,so its resistance to overturning stability is weak.Especially the continuous curved girder bridge,when vehicles appear unilaterally in continuous beam,without considering the increase of bridges’ live load and span under the condition of change in curvature of the bridge,causing the increase of negative moment,when the increase of negative moment exceeds a certain amount,which may lead to bridges overturning.For many years,there have been total collapse of bridges under the action of large vehicle load,The results of these accidents have caused a great loss to social people and economy.Aiming at the characteristic of the single column pier continuous curved bridge,this paper based on project examples,using large-scale finite element software Midas/civil,discussed its anti-overturning stability.We starting from the characteristics of single column pier continuous curved bridge,putting forward corresponding improvement measures in increasing anti-overturning stability of bridges,and draw some general conclusions.The main work is as follows:1.The analysis summarizes the single column pier structure characteristics and application status of continuous curved bridge,and illustrates the significance and the current situation of the research on the stability of the continuous curved bridge.2.According to the existing research results,summarizes the resistive overturning stability analysis and calculation method of single column pier bridge,and this paper expounds the domestic and foreign relevant specifications against overturning stability rules and principles of calculation.3.With the aid of finite element analysis software Midas/civil,calculation analysis the anti-overturning performance of various forms of single column pier bridges,through the calculation of the model,according to the existing theory and implementation specifications,determined the safety performance of its resistance tooverturning.4.Discuss stress factors changes of different parts of the single column pier,Such as the bridge width,span,and curvature factors bearing on the performance of the anti-rollover single pier of the curved bridge;And puts forward some measures to improve the anti-overturning stability of single column pier bridge,some of the measures and methods of improving resistive overturning stability of the single column pier bridges.
