Logistics automation technology develops rapidly in the field of industrial automation. The speed of logistics system has become a key factor of the development of enterprises. High speed logistics system featured as high speed, high acceleration and load uncertainty. As an important node in logistics system, the design of high speed stacker and the selection of suitable drive technology have become a problem for logistics equipment designers.According to characteristics of high speed stacker, the method of calculation, equivalent, evaluation selection and checking was discussed with the knowledge of fatigue failure and reliability, classical mechanics and modern power electronics and popular technology and products of mechanical transmission and electric drive. Specific design scheme was given based on practical case.Experimental results were recorded and analyzed with latest servo induction-motor and MOVIDRIVE61B inverter by virtual oscilloscope in supporting software of Movitools. Suggestions of future design optimization were proposed combined with engineering practice.
