Study On The Space Design Of The Theme Hotel

Along with the development of social economy situation, Chinese tourism and hotel industry have been getting rapid development. With the increasing of people’s spiritual pursuit and the hotel homogenization, the hotel industry is facing more and more serious competition. The theme hotels gradually stand out in the competition because of its clear theme and the full realization of the ordinary hotel differentiation.However, the domestic theme hotel development is still in its initial stage, lack of theoretical studies, and there are still many problems about the design of theme hotels, Therefore the study on the theme hotel design is very necessary and of great significant. The formation, development, definition and classification of the theme hotels were concluded and analyzed in this paper, Furthermore, to improve the hotel quality the construction of theme hotel’s space, space design techniques, and how to better reflect the theme culture through space designs, were also discussed, respectively, Meanwhile, the current cases about the designs of theme hotels in the present company is taken for examples, to investigate the approaches in terms of design on the space of theme functions and features, as well as some related hotel business strategy issues.The design of theme hotel should be focused on the fuction space and the feature space. To shape a good theme space and deeply impress the visitors, the space design should utilize and improve the existing space scene by designer’s imagination and creation. In brief, the present paper referred to the successful hotel theme design cases and studied the hotels space design by the combination of theory and actual instance. The results obtained from this work could be as a reference to guide the modern theme hotel design and management.
