Measuring the plasma density distribution can contribute to improving the nano-powder preparation technique by the way of electrical explosion. This paper gives the method of using Mach-Zehnder laser interferometer to detect plasma's density, and introduces the synchronization control system design in detail. For recording the image of the wire electrical explosion propagation process, explosions signal must be responded immediately and the preset synchronization to the laser and CCD camera must be sent by the electrical control system. This paper begins with the principle and structure of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer laser system and analyzing the synchronization control system with the light during the explosion being the trigger signal. Then, the research and design for each part of the system have been presented. We use the STC12××series microcontroller as the core control chip and propose two shooting solutions-Adaptive time reference method and Reverse Camera Work method, and programs are designed, respectively. The preset time data are sent by the series port and executed by using software accurate delay to achieve signal delay. Finally, after the design of the control circuit is completed, the test waveforms are list and analyzed. Taking a series of electrical explosion interference image as example, we have gotten the developing process and the expansion average velocity value of the electrical explosion.Based on the analysis of the system test result, the response time of the system, which can capture the images of metal and plasma during explosion, is less than 1us, and the preset time step is 0.5us with 200 ns accuracy.
