As one of the most important drinking water sources, reservoir-type water source's water quality safety is the important safeguards of China's public health security and social stability. However, according to the recent studies of 661 main reservoir-type water sources' data from Ministry of Water Resources,19.2 percent of the water sources' water quality is inferior to the ? category over a long period of time. Therefore, it is meaningful for country's drinking water security and social stability to get hold of the pollution type of the reservoir-type water source and make pointed references to control the pollution and improve the water quality.On the basis of studying domestic and overseas reservoir-type water sources' pollution treatment, this paper made an investigation to hydro-fluctuation belt and inflowing rivers of reservoir's pollution. After that, combined with literatures, it classified reservoir-type water sources'pollution as endogenous pollution and exogenous pollution. Furthermore, endogenous pollution was divided into point source pollution and non-point source pollution. In addition, corresponding measures was put forward to each kind of pollution for providing fundamental basis for China's reservoir-type water source's treatment.Reservoir shore zone and buffer zone is an important ecotone between reservoir water ecosystem and the land ecosystem, with the important ecological services of maintenance of biological diversity, reinforcing revetment and water purification. It is the last barrier of reservoir, which would threaten the reservoir's water environment and ecological safety if its ecological function is impaired. Based on analyzing Biliuhe Reservoir's ecological damage which caused by endogenous and exogenous pollution, this paper presents a comprehensive management of constructing ecological isolation buffer belt of reservoir's shore-land. Besides, in order to provide technical support for the management of reservoir shore zone and buffer zone, this paper studied key issues related to the design of the buffer zone platform's elevation and width and the selection of revetment's type and buffer zone's vegetation and so on.Inflowing rivers are the main water supply channel and also the major importer of land-based pollution of the reservoir. Through the investigation of reservoir's inflowing rivers, this paper found out that inflowing rivers' pollution type is always complex, and the conventional single-style river ecosystem governance model are often unable to purify the river water quality well. In view of this situation, this paper put forward an ecological restoration mode by constructing compound ecologic rehabilitating system including near-natural river restoration, constructed wetlands and ecological floating bed on the floodplain of contaminated river and conducted a test on Caifangshen section of Fuzhou River and detected and analyzed water quality after treatment regularly, aiming to provide an easily-spread mode for the inflowing rivers'ecological restoration.
