The Application Of Urban Characteristic Cultural Elements In Landscape Design

LeiYang has profound historical and cultural heritage.It has more than 2200 years of history and the city gets the name as it is set in the north of Lei river.It is cradle of the cultivation culture and the hometown of Cai Lun who is the inventor of papermaking in Eastern-Han Dynasty.Besides,a lot of historical celebrities such as Zhang Fei,Pang Tong,Du Fu have been to there and left footmarks in this city.This city is famous as many names such as “Zhi Du” “hometown of oil-tea tree" “the ancient town of HuNan”,etc.The LeiYang city always try to connect these brand images of "Cai Lun" "Zhi Du" "papermaking" with the city itself,while they did not make it successful during the city planning and contruction.While this city lack of iconic symbol and culture totem,it does not have a high city identification.On the basis of above issues,this paper propose some solutions after related research.First,analysis the research background of the landscape design for scenic belt along Leishui river,Yanjiang North Road,LeiYang city,brings forward the purpose and significance of study on it and presents some research methods as well.Second,The paper has an in-depth analysis according to the current problems from the urban landscape planning of LeiYang city,and explore the principles andmethods of landscape belt design based on the preservation of existed special city culture.At the end of this paper,the summary and suggestions are given.
