With the development of the society, the existed structural bearing capacity and using functions of buildings could not meet the requirements for utilization due to the changes of using purposes and loading types, natural disasters and the environment erosion.Reinforcement processing for such buildings is necessary. This paper makes study on the reinforcement mechanism and numerical simulation of carbon fiber and comes to the following conclusions.1. It makes comparative analysis on several important structural reinforcement methods and comes to the conclusion that the reinforcement effect and the construction operability of carbon fiber are superior to other reinforcement methods.2. It conducts theoretical analysis on the reinforcement mechanism of the carbon-fiber reinforced concrete bending structural components. It finds the computing method of the loading capacity for reinforced beam and the changing principles of the rigidity and deflection for beams before and after reinforcement.3. According to thenumerical simulation analysis on the carbon-fiber reinforced ferroconcrete, usingcarbon fiber of ANSYS numerical simulation to reinforce concrete beam could effectively simulate the carbon fiber reinforcement and take the nonlinear characteristic of carbon fiber and other materials into consideration.4. It develops the actual engineering simulation model of carbon fiber reinforcement and makes comparison between simulated resultsand the hand computed results. Conclusions are as follows: the hand computed result is safe compared with modeling result; pasting carbon fiber under the beam for reinforcement could effectively improve the deflection and section stress of the beam; pasting carbon fiber vertically at the support could effectively alleviate the situation of concrete cracking at the support.
