| LED (i.e. Light Emitting Diode),due to the advantages of energy efficiency, small size, quick response, lightness and some others, has been widely used in many fields. With the development of LED technologies, and its further application in recent years, a higher requirement for the performance of the light source is made. Therefore the study of the parameters of the optical properties of LED has currently turned to be a major subject of research, while the color coordinates, as a component of the LED optical parameter, has thus become a key field of study.Micro spectrometer is a popular optical measuring instrument in recent years, and thanks to its small size, easy operation and accurate detection, it has become an effective tool for scientific researches and experiments. This paper, based on the theories of colorimetric, is to elaborate that the color coordinates of LED detection can be realized through the relative radiometric calibration of micro-spectrometer in the environment of CIE1964 color system, and by the approach of integrating sphere base on the software programs of micro-spectrometer. By comparing the results with the ones of Ocean Optics spectrometers, the software can achieve its expectation. The major work of this paper is to design a software system to detect the color coordinates of LED light source, based on our independent created micro spectrometer.(1) To study the working principle and the structure of micro spectrometer, and the structure of the appointed micro spectrometer and the related parameters;(2) To study the working characteristics of the LED light source, the color characteristics as well as its color measurement methods;(3) To study the CIE system, the chromaticity coordinates and relative intensity calibration;to apply the software program to the calculation of the chromaticity coordinates and then to compare the results with the ones obtained through the Ocean Optics spectrometers.(4) The summary and outlook, where the flaws of the design and the prospect of the afterward research will be proposed. |
