With the global fossil fuel shortage and ecological environment deterioration, the development and utilization of wind energy, biomass, ocean energy, solar and other new energy is imminent, for countries to achieve sustainable development, mankind must take effective measures to make full use of new and renewable energy. Because of its high cleanliness, high storage capacity, easy collection and so on, the solar energy has been used in many developed countries and developing countries as the most promising renewable energy sources. Solar photovoltaic power generation is the main development trend of utilization of solar energy, but with high power solar photovoltaic system incorporated into the power grid, the future in the power system stability will be produced certain influence, at the same time the normal operation of the power grid presents many technical problems, this paper in view of the problems appeared in the normal operation of the photovoltaic system, mainly from the photovoltaic system of power can quality, operation and distribution network planning, the loss and the impact of the relay protection of several aspects were studied.According to the corresponding parameters of grid connected photovoltaic power generation system model is established in MATLAB/simulink, simulated by this model, the feasibility of this model was verified; and then analyzes the grid connected photovoltaic system of electricity distribution network planning, operation, energy loss, power quality and effect of the relay protection of Inner Mongolia Wulateqianqi agricultural 20MWp PV comprehensive development project impact on the local distribution network analysis software simulation using the power system, and according to the conclusions put forward some improvement measures and control scheme of voltage and reactive power regulation; analysis of the PV system under different fault location, different access location and different capacity under different conditions, the influence of on line protection and short-circuit current distribution network, and take corresponding measures according to the result of.
