With the development of power industry, the thermal power unit with high efficiency, high parameters and large capacity has been widely used in large-scale power plant. However, the characters of strong multivariable coupling, highly nonlinearity and uncertainty make it difficult to operation and control, so it is meaningful and necessary to study the model and control algorithm for the optimization design of supercritical power plant. Coordinated control system of supercritical thermal power unit is mainly studied in the paper, including modelling by mechanism?identification model by modified partical swarm algorithm?PID parameter setting by formulas?applying fuzzy self-tuning PID to coordinated control system and so on.It is convenient for designing a controller which grips the dynamic characteristic and establishes the mathematical model of the supercritical unit. This is a very effective way to combine mechanism and experimental modeling during the modeling process. According to the above thought, this artical determines the model structure by method of mechanism, then get a three input and three output model by modified partical swarm algorithm identification. More importantly, the model can provide references for the design of controller with the advantages of simple structure, good dynamic performance.PID controllers are widely used in industry, but it is always a hard work to set the parameters. For the coordinated control system based on improved inverted decoupling design, a new kind of PID controller is devised in this paper. In addition, the comparing simulation results demonstrate the PID algorithm based on formulas has better control quality. Above all, even if the setting is completed, it still needs re-adjust the parameters when the environment changes. Applying fuzzy self-tuning PID to coordinated control system based on above-mentioned analysis, the fuzzy self-tuning PID has advantages over PID from the results of constant disturbance and derating curve.
