The blades are very important equipments of the wind turbine; the utilization of wind energy of blades determines the electrical efficiency of the generating units, of which the annual energy production and economic benefits of wind farms are directly affected. Therefore, it is important and desirable part to design and manufacture the efficient and reliable wind turbine blades.By reasonable molding technology, not only the accuracy of blade aerodynamic shape is ensured but also the quality of blades is obtained.Because of the production of high quality blades, low defects, the low blade maintenance costs in the wind farms, the efficient aerodynamic performance of the blades can be maintained.This paper studies 2MW-58.8m blade manufacturing technology, the glass fiber reinforced resin(GFRP) is still the main raw material for this blade.The key manufacturing process includes: molding, laminate lay-up, vacuum infusion resin molding, and curing process and so on.The accuracy of molding can assure the blade aerodynamic shape and conversion efficiency, and the economic efficiency of the wind turbineis improved. By laying-up the reinforced materials,utilizing the easy molding characteristics of composite materials, the fiber material is available on the blade mold surface completely with the shape; while the obvious wrinkles of fiber material are avoided, the mechanical performance of blade laminate is well shown. By utilizing the resin vacuum infusion process, a well-designed resin infusion path and reasonable operating parameters are ensured to complete filling operation.The quality defects such as lack of resin, poor resin, white spot, and other defects, which can affect the final mechanical properties of the blade are reduced. Through testing the mechanical of resin fiberglass laminated plate, reasonable resin curing system is established. It ensures the design of the mechanical properties after the glass fiber reinforced plastic curing, which is the most critical steps in the process of blade manufacturing.This paper also studies the manufacturing technology of the total blade, the optimization design of resin vacumm infusion, the mechanical testing of laminate mechanical properties and the material tests of resin, glass fiber, core material. In the forming process of the blades, some of the key technical problems, such as core material processing methods, the optimization design of key parts manufacturing technology are studied. And the results in this paper provide guidance for the subsequent mass production of the blades.
