Diesel is a core part of the power supplied in the ship. When the ship was running, diesel has been in high gear with high temperatures, especially in the engine cylinder, when air is compressed to the end of time, can reach temperatures of 500-700 degrees Celsius, therefore in order to ensure the reliable operation of diesel engines, cooling system must be used. Cooling system generally consists of a cooling medium heat exchanger, thermostat, water pump, water, fans and other components. Oil cooler belongs to a heat exchanger, which has a very important role in a diesel engine. Oil cooler to cool the engine’s lubricating oil, control the temperature of the lubricating oil to ensure good lubrication and cooling performance of lubricating oil, thereby increasing the life of the various components. Research on the oil cooler, can guarantee the performance of the lubricant, can improve the life of diesel engines, it is a subject worthy of study.Taking X6105BC-15 high-speed marine diesel engine oil cooler for the study, for which the heat exchanger before the effect is not ideal, in order to achieve more consistent heat transfer effect we need, we use the relevant theoretical and empirical, calculated in line with the values of the parameters and arrangement of the parts, and then use HTRI exchanger simulation software, simulation analysis of new check design chiller optimization, and with the comparative analysis of the oil cooler before improvement, comparative analysis, we can see through the theoretical calculation oil cooler optimized design to have better cooling effect, and to a certain extent can reduce manufacturing costs. Then this article rely on the experience and for a number of selected parameters(such as heat pipes, baffle plate spacing) use HTRI software to simulate different numerical calculation and analysis, we can see different structure parameters have a different impact on the heat exchanger of the heat. According to actual production requirements we can choose different parameters and different oil cooler heat transfer effect is obtained.
