Suspension system design as an important part of the development of automotive chassis,Its K&C characteristics and optimization is the core technology in the development of chassis,and K&C characteristics have an important effect on vehicle performance,also is currently the focus of research in the field of automobile dynamics.This paper is based on the new MPV chassis development project,which is based on the cooperation of Chengdu Kong Hui Automotive Technology Co.,Ltd and a whole vehicle factory.First,the dynamics model of rigid flexible coupling is established for the front Macphersan suspension,the rear torsion beam suspension of the design car,and the accuracy of the model was validated based on the test data of K&C on the target car.Then according to the difference of specific K&C characteristic curve of the design car and the target car,Then against the difference between standard car and designed car for the specific K&C characteristic curve,having a sensitivity analysis of the whole working condition on the hardpoint coordinates and bushing stiffness,finding out the comprehensive key factors under working condition of K,C as design variables.At the same time,refer to the basic theory and empirical database of K&C.Integration of ADAMS and MATLAB in the ISIGHT platform,making a multi-objective optimization of designed car's suspension K&C characteristic which based on NSGA-II algorithm in the whole working condition,basically reach the desired optimal target value.Finally,the vehicle model is simulated and analyzed before and after optimization.Finally,the design vehicle model was established before and after optimization,and the simulation and analysis were carried out.The results show that the pitching characteristics,roll characteristics and yaw characteristics,the understeer characteristics and steering input frequency response characteristics of the optimized vehicle were improved,and further illustrate the suspension K&C characteristics have an important impact for vehicle.So the suspension performance benchmarking and optimization is especially important and necessary at the early stage of vehicle development.At the same time,this paper has an important guiding significance for the practical engineering application of the suspension K&C characteristic optimization process and the basic theory.
