With the development of rail transit, the train network control system is also improving gradually. Train remote input and output module (RIOM, Remote Input and Output Module) is a device widely used in the train network control system. It has a pivotal position. And its stability, reliability and safety affect the whole train network control system directly.Based on the research status of the domestic and foreign, this paper puts forward the overall design scheme of RIOM with double bus. The RIOM connected to the gateway unit (GW, Gateway), a digital quantity input unit (DI, digital input) digital output unit (DO, digital output) and analog input and output unit (AX, Anolog Input & Output) by using the controller area network (CAN,Controller, Area Network) and RS-485 bus. The European standard 19 inch small 6U racket is used in the design as the hardware form of data acquisition unit. It has dual backplane bus. The design with high market value realized development of RIOM autonomous design and improved stability, reliability and security of RIOM.This paper describes process of systems analysis and hardware structure design. At the end of this paper, test platform is set up. The type test of RIOM is carried out according to the standard of'IEC60571:2012 railway vehicle electronic equipment" and "IEC62236-3-2:2008 railway facilities - Electromagnetic compatibility - Part 3-2:locomotive and rolling stock device" and so on. The design of the system is verified.
