With the development of traffic engineering, shared lanes have become common forms of unban road intersection lanes. The related standards and researches on shared lanes lacked discussions in the deep level about traffic control methods. This paper studies the traffic control methods of shared lanes at signalized intersections.Phase scheme design is the first step of signal control, and the level of right-of-way is the premise of phase scheme design. The third chapter focuses on phase scheme design mechanism. The basic parameters are defined and the signal lamps are depicted. At the same time, this paper defines the level of right-of-way and give the examples. In the traffic control methods research of conventional shared lanes, according to the level of right-of-way, this paper studies two modes of approach function with the methods of phase scheme design and simulation analysis. The last section presents the traffic control methods of U-turn shared lanes. Taking typical four-leg intersection and three-leg intersection as research objects, this section analyzes approach function split, phase scheme design for each mode and the traffic control methods research about conflict analysis, geometric design and traffic flow release.
