Improvement Design And Fatigue Life Analysis Of Wheel Bearing Structure

Hub bearing is a very important parts of automobile,the main role is to provide bearing and hub precise rotation guide.Hub bearing not only bear axial load but also bear radial load,and it has higher technical requirements.The hub bearing plays an important role for the safety and comfort of vehicles,its quality directly affects the performance of a car.Therefore,analysis of the wheel bearing is an important research direction.This paper introduces the development status of automobile hub bearing and focuses on the third generation of car wheel bearing that it has the leading position in the market.Through the establishment of the automobile hub bearing mechanical model and analysis of tire load,find the link between the external load and automobile hub bearing,as a breakthrough in research on the wheel bearing.In the research of wheel bearing unit is mainly from two aspects of structure and fatigue life.In terms of structure,put forward an improved scheme of structure design of hub bearing on the basis of third generation hub bearing unit,its purpose is to reduce the impact of uniform.Study on the fatigue life,the direction mainly concentrated in the clearance and alternating stress.The traditional research method of clearance is through the detection of unloading force.Its biggest weakness is cumbersome calculation process and not intuitive.In this paper,using the CAE software simulation analysis,explored a new way to research the hub bearing clearance,compared to former methods,it can make the clearance more intuitive performance,this is more conducive to the bearing technical personnel.Study on alternating stress,is mainly realized by lateral acceleration,through the analysis of the lateral acceleration,it is found that there is a certain relationship between the lateral acceleration and the alternating stress By hub bearing fatigue life theory and the correlation formula,made some research on the relationship between alternating stress and life of wheel bearing.In the end,the durability test of wheel bearing is carried out,and verified the relationship.
